I'm shutting down my VW 'trike' building hobby and I'm selling all my VW parts, engines, engine parts, etc. If you want to build your own Volkswagen trike, I can probably set you up with the parts. Years of Beetle service and Trike building has come to the end ... my knees and hips won't allow me to work on a cement floor any more. Time to retire (again). 40mm Solex 'Kadron' carburetor set up. Available with either 125, or 130 main jets.
They have been professionally rebuilt using an ultrasonic bath cleaner and new rebuild kits installed. They have been 'ported' for use with vacuum advance distributor. The use of a vac adv dist eliminates the acceleration hesitation so characteristic of Kadrons. $225 gets you one complete set (as pictured), two carbs, two manifolds, two air cleaners, linkage, and choice of main jets. (I have two sets like the one pictured, one set with new 'old style' linkage, and one set with used linkage.) Add another $15 for cast manifolds instead of welded (as pictured). Add another $30 for a matching distributor. A pair of carbs - $150 ... with welded manifolds - $165 ... with cast manifolds - $180 I also have a pair of rebuilt Kadrons that are NOT ported for vacuum advance - $125 for the pair. |
